The Hobbs Foundation was established in 2003 by the Hobbs Family to help improve the lives of underserved children across the state of Florida by supporting charitable organizations that strive to educate, mentor, and nuture disadvantaged youth in their community. The organization was originally founded to continue the charitable work of Blue Ocean Software (now Numara Software) which the Hobbs Family sold in 2002.

It is our objective at the Hobbs Foundation to support organizations whose work directly benefits underprivileged children in the state of Florida.
The Hobbs Foundation has since established partnerships with charitable organizations who have exhibited a high standard of quality in their services to underserved children as well as a history of responsible financial decision-making. Each organization has proven to act on the basis of the childrens best interest while continuing to improve and expand upon their outreach to children.
The focus of our grant-making policies is to fund organizations by way of specified projects that seek to improve the quality of life for children in need. We would like to ensure that our support is making a difference, offering children opportunities that their families or caretakers are financially and emotionally unable to afford them.
Our goal is to provide disadvantaged children with an opportunity to gain new experiences that enhance their spiritual, social, and academic growth and development and allow them to rise above the challenges they face and pave the way for success. With your help, we can provide these children with the tools necessary to become active, independent members of their community.
Accordingly, the projects that are funded by our grants make a significant impact on the greatest number of children and offer them an opportunity that has not and otherwise would not be made available to them. Applicants may apply for an extension of a current program or an entirely new addition to their curriculum. Applications for donations to general funds or operational expenses will not be considered.
